Indian passport is not in Vietnam visa waiver program, so Indian Citizens need to apply visa before coming to Vietnam. Right now, there are 3 ways to apply Vietnam visa for Indian people
Option 1: Apply Vietnam E-Visa for Indian people 2024
India is one of 82 countries which are eligible for applying Vietnam E-visa. Vietnam E-visa is 30 days single entry visa which can be used to enter Vietnam through airports, land borders and seaports.
Vietnam E-visa for Indian is available online. Indian passport holders can easily apply this type of visa here. Just through a few steps, Indian can successfully apply Vietnam E-visa online and then get the e-visa approval through email.
When arriving at Vietnam, Indian people just need to show E-visa and passport for entry.
Option 2: Apply Vietnam Visa On Arrival for Indian people 2024
Before Covid-19, visa on arrival is the best choice for Indian to have a Vietnam visa. This is type of visa which is collected at the airports when you arrive Vietnam. However, due to Covid-19, visa on arrival is difficult to apply now. It’s required to have a sponsor company in Vietnam to invite you to come for business purpose.
In order to apply Vietnam visa on arrival, Indian citizens need to apply approval letter online. This letter is approved by Vietnam immigration department and will be used to get visa at the airports. Indian passport holders can apply Vietnam visa approval letter online here.
We strongly recommended Indian should apply approval letter 1-2 weeks before departure because it takes a long time than before to get approval letter.
After visa approval letter is approved, Indian citizens just print out this letter to get Vietnam visa when arriving at the International Airport in Vietnam (Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh, Nha Trang, Hai Phong, Can Tho, etc.) and show this letter to the Vietnam Immigration Officer, pay the stamping fee for Vietnam Government then get visa stamped.
Option 3: Apply Visa at Vietnam Embassy for Indian 2024
Beside, Indian applicants can get Vietnam Visa by themselves at Vietnam Embassy in their local living. Some required documents should be prepared:
