Travel to the hometown of Ho Chi Minh city – An unforgettable memory

The hometown of President Ho Chi Minh is located about 16km from the center of Vinh city, Sen village (Lotus village) in Kim Lien, Nam Dan, Nghe An province is the homeland of Uncle Ho. This is one of the four most important relics in the country and also the pride of Nghe An people.

 

How to move to Sen Village

 

From Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, there are direct flights to Vinh Airport, or you can choose to go by train to Vinh Station or take the bus. In Vinh city, you can take a taxi or rent a motorbike to explore the tourist spots.

 

From Hanoi, visitors can go by motorbike, or car because the distance to Vinh is quite far, about 300 km.

 

When should you visit Sen village?

 

 

You can go to Sen village at any time of the year, however, the most suitable time is in May. This is the occasion where the lotus blooms, gives a pleasant feeling, dispel the sultry, oppressive wind of the harsh wind of the Central in Vietnam.

 

Visit Uncle’s house

 

The village has a large lotus lake, passing through the lotus pond is Coc well. In this place, early childhood, Uncle Ho often came here to get water, fishing and have fun with friends in the village.

 

 

Behind the bamboo shade, which has the shady green is a simple house of the Mr. Nguyen Sinh Sac, the father of Uncle Ho. Nguyen Sinh Sac and his children left the village of Chua (Hoang Tru) to live in Sen village in the year of 1901. This house was built by Sen villagers to honor his family for bringing honor to the whole village with the high position in the national contest for the doctor in the old Vietnam.

 

 

At present, souvenirs in Sac’s house are kept almost intact. Two sets of wooden reflectors are the place of Mr.Sac and two sons. The beautiful bed is of her daughter Thanh. The chest of food, the cabinet stand two appliances, black wooden trays is still there. Coming to Sen Village, visitors have just admired the typical countryside of Vietnam and witnessed the sacred relics of a time President Ho Chi Minh, the elderly father of the Vietnamese people, a celebrity of the world.

 

 

In front of the house, there are two small yards and one garden surrounded by hedges. Next to the house is the kitchen. The outer space is the altar and receptions. The third place is the residence of Nguyen Thi Thanh – the elder sister of Uncle Ho. The other two are for the whole family’s staying and activities.

 

The fifth part is just a counter set is also the resting place of Nguyen Sinh Khiem and Nguyen Sinh Cung (Uncle Ho).

 

Although the park is high, the objects in the house are very simple as the house in the other countryside: wood panels, bamboo poles, water jars, bowls, etc. Many of these objects are due. The souvenirs are still preserved today.

 

 

Uncle Ho was attached to this house in his teenage years from the end of 1901 to the mid-1906. The house has witnessed the process of learning, growing up of Uncle; It marks the first emotion of patriotism and his perceptions of the time. After 50 years away from his hometown, found a way to save the nation, revolutionized the country to escape the French colonial rule, he returned to the village twice in 1957 and 1961.

 

 

You can visit the neighboring houses close to the Uncle Ho’s family such as the Co Dien Forge, Vuong Thuc Quy’s house, the grave house, Nguyen Sinh Nham’s grandfather’s house – Uncle Ho’s grandfather.

 

The tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan – Sen village

 

In the old Sen village, there is a tomb of Hoang Thi Loan – the mother of Uncle Ho. In 1942, Nguyen Sinh Khiem (brother of Uncle Ho) took her son buried in mount Dong Tranh, which is 5 km from Sen village. At the foot of the mountain climbing, about 300 stone steps are the grave of her grandmother (Nghe An people rebuilt the grave in 1985). The roof was built by stylized concrete as the loom – the birth of Uncle Ho’s body still weaving to feed.

 

 

Visiting the Uncle Sen village, you will feel full about the old Vietnamese village while witnessing the sacred relics attached to a time of Uncle – the old father of Vietnam.

 

Conditions for applying for an E-visa

 

Conditions for obtaining an E-visa for visitors entering and leaving Vietnam:

 

  1. Visitors, who are living abroad.
  2. Visitors with valid passports, valid passports for at least 6 months before applying for E-visa.
  3. Visitors, who do not belong to cases of refusal to enter Vietnam as prescribed in Article 21 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.
  4. Visitors, who are citizens of one of the countries listed in the list of E-visa in accordance with Decree No. 07/2017 / NĐ-CP dated 25/1/2017 of the Government.
