Vietnam has opened its borders and resumed visa policies for foreign visitors, including e-visa. From March 15, 2022, Russian nationals can apply electronic visa as before and enter Vietnam for tourism and commercial purposes.

  • Russian tourists can apply e-visa online on the system and enter Vietnam for 30 days for tourism purposes.
  • Russian tourists can apply approval letter and receive visa on arrival at international airports when entering Vietnam from 1 month to 3 months.
  • Russian tourists traveling to Phu Quoc Island and staying here for less than 30 days are exempt from visa. Those who land anywhere outside Phu Quoc island must apply visa before entering the country.

For cases that need electronic visa to enter Vietnam, Russian tourists only need to access the online visa application website and fill in the necessary information, then upload the passport scan and digital photo, after about 2 processing days, the e-visa will be approved and sent to the previously registered email.

Vietnam e-visa for Russian businessmen 2022 – things to keep in mind

Unlike tourist visas, individuals entering Vietnam for commercial purposes, working, doing business, attending seminars, signing contracts, etc. are required to apply business visa. Vietnam business e-visa is also single entry and valid for 30 days, and Russian businessmen can apply this visa similar to tourist visa.

Russians also only need to visit the online visa application website and fill in the necessary information, then upload the passport scan and digital photo, after about 2 working days, the e-visa will be approved and sent to the previously registered email. This visa will clearly state that the purpose of entry is for business, and travel history on the immigration control system will be recorded for the business purpose. During the stay in Vietnam, this entry purpose must not be changed. If the purpose of entry needs to be changed, Russians must leave Vietnam, apply a new visa and re-enter the country.
